The truth is, people with diabetes experience almost three times more oral health issues than those who don’t have diabetes." On top of that, gum disease can also make blood sugar levels hard to control and make diabetes worse. Meet the dentists! Providing this much-needed service at the hospital are dentists Areeb Yasin, DMD, and Omar Ali, DMD, both trained to perform the most up-to-date procedures for the highest quality care possible. Not intended to compete with other dentists in town, the new practice will complement some of the other services offered locally. The GAHHS Medical Staff, especially those providers in the family practice clinics, see patients every day who will benefit from access to the addition of dental services at Gibson Area Hospital.
