Gibson gets it! 5 Giving back to VETERANS Gibson City Cissna Park Fairbury Farmer City Fisher Forrest Mahomet Onarga Potomac Watseka Hoopeston Paxton Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) challenged its employees to “step up” and give back to those who have served their country. For every 10,000 steps taken during a five-week period, GAHHS donated $1 to our veterans! At the conclusion of the step program, the funds raised were distributed equally to American Legion organizations in communities where GAHHS clinics are located. During the 2018 Step Up program, employees logged 40,476,250 steps, enabling 12 organizations to receive $338 in donations, which helped support their mission to help local veterans in need. The 2019 Step Up program is underway, and employees are working on exceeding last year’s step total to make a greater difference in the lives of local veterans.
